France’s upcoming 10 GW offshore wind tender (AO10)

May 19, 2026

Following recent comments shared by Nicolas Paul-Dauphin, President of Oxan Energy, in Le Marin, Oxan Energy reaffirms its strong and long-term ambition to contribute to the acceleration of offshore wind in France as the country prepares for its upcoming 10 GW offshore wind tender (AO10).

For Oxan Energy, AO10 represents a strategic next step in the continued development of France’s offshore wind sector and a natural continuation of the work already undertaken in the country.

A long-term commitment to offshore wind in France

As European governments accelerate offshore wind deployment – from the North Sea Summit to the UK’s Allocation Round 7 and recent tenders in Denmark – AO10 is expected to play a key role in maintaining momentum for the sector.

There is no reason for Oxan Energy not to be a candidate in AO10,” explains Nicolas Paul-Dauphin in the interview, underlining the company’s intention to remain an active contributor to the French market.

Oxan Energy’s ambition in France remains strong and long-term. As a French developer, the company aims to support the acceleration of the national offshore wind industry, across both bottom-fixed and floating offshore wind technologies.

Building on international experience

Founded by former offshore wind professionals, Oxan Energy has steadily expanded its footprint beyond France. In 2025, the company secured its first offshore wind tender in Estonia and has also positioned itself in Italy, reinforcing its international profile and strengthening its expertise in diverse offshore wind markets.

This growing international experience supports Oxan Energy’s ambition to contribute to the development of resilient offshore wind ecosystems in Europe while bringing valuable expertise to the French market.

A strategic approach across floating and bottom-fixed offshore wind

In the interview, Nicolas Paul-Dauphin highlighted Oxan Energy’s intention to maintain a broad and strategic approach to offshore wind development:

“We want to have a global strategic approach and participate in

both floating and bottom-fixed projects.”

This positioning reflects the company’s ambition to contribute to the long-term structuring of the offshore wind sector while adapting to the diversity of opportunities offered by the French coastline.

Looking ahead

Beyond AO10, Oxan Energy continues to pursue a long-term vision for offshore wind development.

“Our long-term vision is to become an independent energy producer,” Nicolas Paul-Dauphin explains in Le Marin, emphasizing the company’s ambition to develop, own and operate offshore wind assets over time.

As the French offshore wind market enters a new phase of growth, Oxan Energy remains committed to supporting the emergence of a strong industrial ecosystem and contributing to Europe’s energy transition.
