In January 2025, Oxan Energy has been awarded, together with its partner SNOW BV, its first project!
It is also the 1st floating wind project in Estonia.
Capacity: 900 MW
Location: 60 km off the coast of Saaremaa, Estonia’s largest island
Surface area: 88 km2
Water depth: up to 85 meters
Technology: floating wind. However, given the water depth, the project has the potential to combine floating and bottom-fixed technologies. The lay-out of the wind farm, including the technology to be used, will be decided after the impact assessment, as well as the environmental and technical studies.
Commissioning expected in 2033
BID PROJECTS
In November 2024, Oxan Energy has been prequalified with Ingka Investments, the investment arm of IKEA.
